#9 Create signature drinks for five of my friends

Many of you know that I was selected by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of Nashville's "Top 30 Under 30."  I feel so honored to be a part of this great group!

As part of this honor, I have a goal to raise $2,000 for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  I'm getting close, but still need a little help. Please consider making a donation at http://www.cff.org/LWC/KellyJamerson. Every bit truly helps!

If your altruism needs a little extra motivation, here's one serious reason and one fun reason to give...
Serious...Drugs are currently being developed that could help 95% of the population that suffers from Cystic Fibrosis. You can be a part of finding that cure simply by giving me the $5 (or more) you were going to spend on overdue Redbox fees!
Fun...Everyone that makes a donation on my page will have their name entered in a drawing, and 5 lucky winners will get a signature drink created personally for them by me. I may even let you drink it next time we get together. And, it helps me check off a 2013 resolution too!

#2 Come up with 12 new delicious recipes

I'm getting started early this year, and what better recipe to try than KING CAKE!  With Mardi Gras next week, here's an easy recipe to try:

Easy King Cake

Ingredients:

Dough
4 things of cresent cinnamon rolls

Filling
8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp melted butter

Icing
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
3 tsp water
Purple, yellow, and green sprinkles

Directions:
  1. Pull apart cinnamon rolls into long strips.
  2. Braid 3 of those strips and lay out to make base of king cake on a baking sheet.
  3. Continue braiding and laying out strips until you get the desired base size.  I used 3 braids to make my base.
  4. Stir all ingredients for filling.  Put that on top of king cake base.
  5. Braid the top layer of the king cake using remaining cinnamon roll strips and lay on top of filling.
  6. Bake as directed on cinnamon roll package (plus a little extra time).
  7. Let cake cool for a little bit.
  8. Stir all ingredients for icing. Drizzle on top of the cake.
  9. Sprinkle the purple, yellow, and green sprinkles on top.
  10. Enjoy!
I made this for a Superbowl party and I can say that it was a BIG hit!
